I joined the Ohio Plein Air Society in 2006. “Plein air” painting is a French term for painting in the “open air” and is a worthwhile pursuit for the challenge it presents. Painting in the outdoors is a great learning tool and teaches lessons in color mixing that can be used for both portraits and landscapes. Being a member of the Ohio Plein Air Society also keeps me connected with other artists.
